I have 7 baby Gerbils, about 2 and a half weeks old, my little brother picked one up (even tho been told not to touch them) he managed to drop it onto a hard tiled floor from standing, it now seems very ill and isn't moving as much as the others, i really need some advice. i don't know whether to take it to a vet as it still needs its mother, i'm totally stuck for what to do! Thanks, Siobhan

Even if you took the pup to the vet, I doubt the vet could do much. Just try to keep the baby comfortable. My guess is that the pup has some brain damage.

I'm so upset and annoyed, told him multiple times not to touch them. i'm worried about the poor little one, it's mother never bothered with it for a while but she has now moved it back to the nest with the other babies, any idea if this is a good thing for the little one?
thank you!

Wow! It happen, dont be so hard on your brother. Just maybe teach him how to hold them and immediately sit on the floor with them. That way he cant drop them. We are new to gerbils and my daughter dropped one and it acted strage all night, but then came around!

I can understand how fed up you are with your brother and hopefully he has learned to listen to you, at least where your gerbils are concerned. It's always a good idea to handle baby gerbils sitting on a bed or sitting on the floor with a pillow under them, so they have something soft to fall onto. I hope the baby recovers.
