Thanks, ohmylokix! I might take you up on that offer sometime, but for now I think I'm going to try shootingstar's idea. I contacted the lady who sells the homemade food, and she offered to send 4 pounds instead of 10.

I've just asked in my local pet shop and they said that they can order Gerri Gerbil food in for me !!!!! YEY !!!!!
That saves alot of hassle ;D
If there's anybody in the UK that can't get hold of any, I should be able to buy it locally and post it to you (not sure about postage costs) and obviously I'd need to be re-imbursed, but if anybody wants me to buy some and post it out then the offers there, please just pm me.
Tony ;D

Hmm, I wonder if my pet store could special order it for me. I'll have to look into that.

In the UK there are a lot of online pet stores selling Gerri. Also if you have a local K9 capers you can get it delivered for free.

I bought some Gerri off zooplus last Thursday and it turned up yesterday. I tried Bitey with a little bit of it last night and he went mental for it. I also went to a local pet shop and noticed they sold it (after I had bought it online) so at least I now know where I can get it.

I buy a homemade mix (yes, you read that right, lol). Kecia Santerre makes it up in NH, and sells it online. It's cheaper than store-bought food, even with shipping, and it's a better quality mix. home.earthlink.net/~furryflowers/food.htmlOoooh, that's where Nasu and Panko are from! They came with a one quart bag of Furry Flowers food and I found it to be very good! Tracy

I've been trying to find Gerri Gerbil locally, but with no success. Has anyone else in Canada had any luck locating some? PetsMart carries Supreme products for other species, e.g. Reggie Rat, Gerty Guinea Pig, and Harriet (?) Hamster, but no Gerri Gerbil!
I may consider ordering some of the Furry Flowers food instead if customs and duty fees aren't too high... Did your boys like it, Tracy?

Yes, the boys do like the Furry Flowers food. I have been meaning to drive up and get more, but I've been so busy. It will take me about two hours round trip, plus gasoline, so I am thinking that paying the shipping might be worth it! I wonder if the fees to Canada would be prohibitive. I saw Reggie Rat food in Petco (USA) the other day, but no Gerri Gerbil. Wasn't looking for food, though. I wonder if they would special order it. Surely the distributor has access to all the products of the manufacturer. Tracy

In the UK there are lots of suppliers It is cheaper to get a large sack and I recommend mixing it with a hamster mix, or alternating as the calcium in Gerri seems less avavilable to the gerbils. I buy a sack of hammie feed and a sack of gerbil feed every two months or so.
