[edit by Markpd, unlocked to allow for more ideas to be added] Gerbil Gift Box Earlier this year I made a video that showed how to make a toy for your gerbils to enjoy. Well here it is! Enjoy!  Just in case you missed anything, here's a list of basic supplies. Supplies-Paper towel or tp rolls -Toilet paper or tissues -Hay -Treats and food -Other nesting materials (the red crinkle paper in the video, etc.) -Whatever else you can stuff in there for your gerbils! Here's the finished box from the video  And here's another gift box that I made that I put in Moosey and Mizzy's tank. And they loved it!  Hope you found this helpful. ;D |

What a great idea! I'm sure your gerbils enjoy getting that gift. My gerbils chew through all the wood homes and ignore the toys I buy. Perhaps they will put this to good use. Not to mention a whole lot cheaper to replace.

I just got done attempting a mock recreation and they are AFRAID of it, but my rats loved the crud out of it...poor gerbs i'm sure once they stop being afraid of it they'll love it!
Thanks for posting this I was gonna spend $5 for a box, hey and treat set haha

Thanks everyone! ;D That's a great idea, Boz. How long does it take your gerbils to get to the treats? I have no clue. Sometimes they won't touch it for a few days, other times it's half gone by the next morning. LOL |

Then, as I'm filling their food dish before I leave for work, they come up and look at me as if to say, "Was THAT the best toy you could find for us?" |

Sorry for a bit of a late response - I've just made one and Jerry LOVES it! Burrowing through the hay, finding the "secret" almonds...I put too much toilet paper in it though, so I took most of it out and gave it to Hans in a half-eaten cereal box. I also added some hay and treats on top of that. I'll post pics soon Wish I had some of that crinkle paper though - looks like a lot of fun! ;D |

^_^ i love this so much! all of my gerbils have gone thru at least 1 box XD i actually was so pleased, that when i ran out of boxes, i made a "gift bag" out of a little paper bag  i put up a video on youtube under "Gerbil Gift Bag" is anyone wants to see how i did it its so much fun i also give all my credit to Boz in the video |
