Food purchased. It cost me £10.99 including postage for a 1 lb bag. That was the cheapest I could find via google. It's the most expensive gerbil food I've ever purchased but they are worth it. I hope they like it At the moment I'm raiding bags of gerri gerbil and wagg for the biscuits which means Sprogley and Squeaky who still have all their teeth have been missing out on their biscuity goodness a little bit.

You're welcome. Good luck with Sparky and Sprocket. :3 I'm sure Sprogley and Squeaky can live without biscuits for a few days. I'll be sending love beams from across the Atlantic. Attachments:

As I have saw in the market there are already many brand which are serving the best gerbil food. So you can buy from them or if you wish then you can also self prepare it. Its too easy job to prepare and you have to prepare very little one.

They really love it. They generally both eat it soaked but can also eat it dry and crushed up too. Unlike Gerri Gerbil and Wagg when I soak the food it doesn't go slimy and soggy. So it's absolutely perfect for them. I give them 5 soaked pellets/hoops at a time and Sprogley empties her dish 2 or 3 times a day. Sprocket likes it too and that's all she eats for a few days after her teeth get trimmed but after a week she likes to move on to crushed food as well.
Sprocket's coat has looked very shiny since she's been eating it too so I think it is working very well for them.

Gerbils a basic diet of grains and seeds, fresh vegetables, fruits or vegetables need to be supplemented with several times a week. You can find that has been designed specifically for gerbils other small animals for food is less common than food.
It is also necessary to plan a feed your gerbils about every two or three days. If you will be away for an extended time be sure that someone else will feed and water them.
