I just switched to clean and cozy and Digby loves it SO MUCH MORE. she was having a hay day when i cleaned her cage and put that in she was rolling all in it and chirping LOL I give Digby timothy hay but I have never had a problem with her having red nose. I mean she has the standard 'red spots' from mucus like she has always had but it has never escalated beyond that and I just recently started giving her timothy hay and she loves it.

Yay! I'm so happy! Caroline's nose has continued to do well with the Kaytee clean & cozy (only - no timothy hay). In fact, it's not only not all red anymore but the fur has mostly all grown back in the areas under and around her nose where it had gotten bald. I didn't even realize how bald it had gotten until the fur started to come back!
So thanks to everyone on this forum! I probably never would have even realized it was an allergy, nevermind that the bedding was the problem without the info on this forum.
Speaking of noses and Caroline, today the girls were out for a bit of playtime, and my son was touching noses with Caroline, when all of a sudden she stuck her whole snout in my son's right nostril! My son was itching his nose from being tickled by her whiskers for the next 15 minutes. I'm not sure what made her decide to do that but it was pretty funny.
