Hey everyone! x I have the 2 pups and they are very cute!! Much smaller than Giggle and Jess were! •///• They are very sweet and very brave! I will try to get some pictures up, but it could take a while XD They are all sleeping now, and they seem very curious about each other! x Nezumi (rat in Japanese) is a little agouti and from what i have seen, she is very brave and very curious. She and Giggle seemed like they were trying to french kiss through the bars earlier XD x Ökami (wolf in Japanese) is a little siamese who is very curious, but loves to nibble everything including fingers, but she doesn't seem to want to hurt you. Ökami is very slender and small, with short fur, while Nezumi is larger, fatter and is rather fluffy! Again it may take a while to get pictures, but i'll try my best! xx (p.s Giggle looks huge in comparison, almost twice the size •///^///•)

Hey guys! Okay, i'm just about to leave for Cardiff so i won't be back for a while, (when i come back i'll post how the girls are doing and hopefully then they will have a new cage x ) and i just wanted to ask quickly if because none of my gerbils are related, are they more likely to split up over time? Thanks, sorry its a bit random x

Wow, hey guys! I haven't had the chance to look at all the new happenings around the forum, but i will be sure to! Everything is going great with the girls! After 4 days they had already been sleeping next to the bars and trying to groom each other And when i swapped them around, they didn't' take any notice of the new smells around them, just carried on as normal x Then on the 5th day the new cage arrived and i decided to introduce them! x Nezumi began grooming Giggle, and she just sat there with her eyes shut, as if she was really happy for the interaction Then Ökami wandered over and was tasting her saliva (eww but, normal) and Giggle started grooming Ökami, so it just turned into one huge adorable grooming huddle of fur! xx They've been together for almost a month now, and everything seems perfect ^-^ xx

Hey guys x I have some dreadful news About only half an hour ago, Theanan managed to catch, and murder Giggle. Long story short: I had them in a large sort of carry cage, in a small patch of sun (they did have some shade too) and they seemed to be having the time of their lives sunbathing and cuddling up to each other. x Then i had to go to the bathroom (as we all do) i was gone for about 30 seconds, when i heard a crash, so i come sprinting downstairs, to see Theanan had knocked the lid of the cage off (i have no idea how) and had Giggle clamped in his mouth D: I pried open his mouth (which was really hard) and then, after phoning a vet and seeing what we could do, we were about to make our way there (after paying £115 pound just to get the vet to go to the vets, since it was a Sunday) When i found her little limp body in the cage, all curled up x She was still warm and still had light in her eyes, but it was obvious she had passed on x She went very quickly, and i don't think she had enough time to be in that much pain xx I do have a question though, i'm not sure if this will cause dominance issues among the 2 girls remaining because Giggle was dominant, and would just like any advice on that. Thanks for keeping with Giggle and her little story, its just a shame it came to an ending so quickly xx R.I.P Giggle xx

Again, I am so sorry about Giggle. I don't know for sure, but I think the two remaining girls will be okay. When Peanut died (she was dominant too) there weren't any issues between Pixel and Minty and still aren't. My guess is it's because they (and hopefully your two girls) would have already established which one of them was next in line dominance wise, and that gerbils just became first in line. So hopefully no problems will come up.
