Just curious x Do you have any reasons why one or the other are better? Or any advice about either? x I prefer little black eyed gerbils, not too sure why though xD xx

I don't prefer either one really, but I know that red-eyed gerbils sometimes don't have as good of eyesight. And my two black-eyed girls (Pepper and Parsley) are pretty cute. . .

I have two pink eyed boys and they see just fine xD
I have no preference either, I love all gerbils. My all time favorite though? I am a huge sucker for black eyed white animals. Anything pure white with black eyes and I'm in love. Always wanted a Black eyed white gerbil, but I don't have the proper genes around here to produce any.

Well that's just something I read- that red-eyed gerbils have poor vision sometimes.

Yeah, I also read that's why sometimes red-eyed gerbils "sway", like they kind of tilt their head to one side then the other. Has something to do with them focusing. . . Minty does it and it's really cute. Curious, are your gerbils red-eyed or black NedIsNotOnFire?

A mix of both Ökami has dark red eyes, and Kanato does have red eyes, but you can only tell if you shine a light nearby I had a very bad experience with a red eyed gerbil so not planning on getting one too soon xD Then Nezumi and Levi both have black eyes x

I like black eyed ones because the others seem to bite me I have only seen black ones that don't, there is not many breeders in Saskatchewan Canada.

I just have a thing for red/pink eyed rodents for some reason. Not sure why, but they tend to be my favorite

I used to only really like black eyes until I got my sweet Fiona. My husband actually didn't want a PEW or a pink eyed gerbil since he doesn't care for rats but Fiona has stolen his heart and he's actually warmed up a lot to rats since they are so outgoing and sweet in the pet store. Fiona actually has a head tilt issue and she is PEW. She seems to see fine and get along very well. Here quirks make he special and wonderful. I love her personality and so she has won me over for red/pink eyes and of course I've had/have two girls with black eyes and they are just enduring and sweet eyes too.
