I got two females about two months ago and just now their 5 months. I also got another two aged 4 and a half months a few weeks ago.
I got two gerbilariums- one big and one small. I put my first two in the smallest gerbilarium and my second two I'm the biggest.
Salt and pepper - small Oreo and Burbon in the big.
However, Oreo and Burbon proved difficult to grab from the big cage and they were losing weight, so today I swapped them cages.
I thoroughly cleaned the smaller cage and put Oreo and Burbon into it. They seemed fine and just now they're sleeping in the house I have them.
However, my first two, salt and pepper. Started a fight. I was out when it happened so I don't know who started it. I DIDNT clean one of the levels in the cage from the bigger cage which makes me believe that the smell from the other two was still there which made the others fight.
I separated them, they're both all blood on the chin and under the arm. I have them a clean.
I just retried them together for two minutes and one of them keep sniffing the others butt and they touched mouths but u separated them again. What do I do?

It's best to keep them separate for now and take them to a vets as soon as you can. The vet will hopefully be able to check how badly injured the gerbils are and give them some medicine for pain relief and to stop inflammation. I think it is normally best to keep both gerbils separate, or at least in a split cage, until the wounds have fully healed. After that you could try reintroducing them with a split cage (it might take a while as adult females can be tricky).
