Hi everyone!
I have had gerbils for many years and my most recent gerbils are 3 males which have been with me since December. I have had males in the past but always had pairs rather than 3's.
Recently two of them have taken to humping one of them continuously at night. He gets quite distressed and squeaks a lot to me it looks almost like bullying. They are not fighting/boxing etc partly I think because the one that is being bullied is very submissive but obviously I don't want it to get to the point of fighting.
Any suggestions to what I can do?!!

I have a dad and his two sons and they hump a lot - (mind you so do a lot of my females).
There was some blood at one point when they really took a liking to him and I was worried about fighting, so I did a full clean out (to remove all old scents) and kept their new clean tank filled to the brim with chewing, climbing and digging distractions and yummy scattered food, and it has subsided back to the occasional hump session.
That was over 6 months ago and all is still well in the family clan.

What is their setup like? It sounds like two are ganging up to bully the third.
