It's the first shot that makes me lean towards a strange Sp. Nutmeg over HC. There's just too much color on the face. Though that could be the pose/lighting.

I'd say Honey Cream, honey cream could be A* or aa. Since color is a phenotype, rather than a genotype.
When I think of a mottled nutmeg, I expect a strong presence of ticking, mingled with white hairs. Mottleds nutmegs are possible, i have a few, but this gerbil doesn't really meet the mottled nutmeg look, even if it might genetically be one. (Though i don't really think it is aa)

I think you're right, and it is just the lighting on that first pic, since even the paws, which I'm sure are white, look colored.
That's an interesting point about genotype vs phenotype, though. With gerbils, I think all color names imply at least a partial genotype. For instance, if I had a pure white, red eyed gerbil that was proven to be PP, would you refer to it as a DTW, or a PEW? Sure, it's a PEW visually, and I'd show it as a PEW, but to me, I'd still think of it as a DTW, just a poor one.
