I just switched the two and they both went to each others nest and then started to eat. This time it seems like Minnie is not trying to ruin Peaches previous nest.

Ok so i decided to introduce them and they seemed fine. But as the 30 minutes went by the two would steal food form each other even when they were currently eating. Then near the end they began to fight, so I seperated them and I started the split cage again but with only 1 inch bedding.

I'm sorry to hear they were fighting. Next time you introduce them, I would suggest removing any food (often a cause for squabbling in newly introduced gerbils I find) and also any dens. When I introduce gerbils I've noticed that they tend to hide in their dens, or the dominant one forces the other to stay in the den, etc. I would just give it awhile longer- this isn't unusual. Female gerbils often take a long time to introduce. Good luck!
