metacam is best for gerbils with pain issues, I'm not sure what is safe besides that, sorry.

alright, thanks. he rested a long time today, so perhaps his behavior isnt as odd as I thought. ^^; nothing like an injury to turn an owner paranoid

it may be better to treat Jean Luc with metacam and anti-inflammatories than a cast- he may be having some pain and gerbils can have a tiny drop of metacam. I had a gerbil with a swollen foot and she would make it bleed and I was able to keep it covered sometimes and other times she chewed it off-keep us up to date on how he is. I have a gerbil who injured her foot somehow, but now insists on chewing off her entire foot. I designed an e-collar with a harness (4th prototype is a charm!) and want to give her some metacam now. How and how much and how often do I administer it to her? Thanks!
