I give my gerbils mr Johnsons pellets (mixed with gerri gerbil) and it seems like it might be there favourite bit of the whole mix so its obviously tasty, they also accept them as treats sometimes, they contain herbs so I think this is why. I believe there quite good nutritionally, I'm not sure what they'll be like on there own though as I only feed it with gerri gerbil or another mix.

As far as I know, Gerri Gerbil food is safe. The additives are all at a very low level, just as they are in human food, to keep it from going bad for quite a while. Colorations are also added, intended for consumption just like in human food. They are made for eating and safe to eat for gerbils and humans alike. Genetically modified foods are also far safer (environmentally and for the consumer) than fields oversprayed with pesticides, or, in the case of organic farmers, other potentially harmful chemicals like sulfur and copper. No reliable evidence has been found that consuming GM foods is harmful.
But I digress. It is of course your decision.

Okay, interesting infomations Ella. Ooo I had this big test the other day about GM foods, lol anyway ;') hmmm, i totally see what you are saying now and it does make sense, as in the additives are at such a low level. Would it be a good idea to mix gerri gerbil, Mr. Johnson's muesli and the pellets? Or would that mess up the Analytical Constituent?

You can mix them, but yes, it would mess up the nutrition, so you'd have to get calculating to figure out what proportions you'd need.
