Hey there fellow gerb lovers! I'm in need of help, since I can't recognize some of my gerbs colours, so I can define the genetic code of them. My question to you is if you are able to help me determine the colour of my gerbils 'Champagne', 'Komijn' and 'Raticate'. ---- First off is Champagne, he is a 6 months old male, and I dont know the phenotype of his parents: ---- Little Komijn is a 6 weeks old female. Her mother was an agouti, and the father had a beige color (did not see him, also don't have pictures of him, only info the owner told me). ---- Last but not least is little Raticate. He is a 6 weeks old male, and his father was a spotted black, and his mother was an agouti. My guess is that Raticate is a spotted Dark Eyed Honey. Thank you very much!=)

Thanks for your fast reply and useful information! Are you sure about Raticate being a spotted nutmeg? He has an all white belly, not in a figure 8 shape like in most spotted gerbs.

Very sure. It's nearly impossible to get a Spot DEH in that pattern, they turn into Honey Cream instead.
