Hey There! I have 4 gerbils I would like to have your opinions on. I'm having trouble to distinct colours since I'm colourblind. Note: All images were taken with the camera flash option on --------- First pictures are of Wodka, he is a 6 months old male and I don't know for sure if he is an LCP or a CP Nutmeg. ------------------------------ Then there is Sheqie, she is a 6 months old female, I think she is a Dove, but again, I'm not sure: ---------------- Ieniemienie is a 10 weeks old kid of the above two gerbils. I think he is also a dove, but it could also be a Sapphire: ------ Finally there is Ratata, he is a 6 months old male, and I used to think he is a Lilac, since he has a darker colour than previous two greys. But I'm doubting because he doesn't seem to have bright red eyes (all images have been taken with camera flash on). Maybe he is a diluted slate/black gerbil? : Thank you very much for helping me again!=)

I must say, I'm not 100% sure on Wodka as those shaded ee/uwduwd gerbils always confuse me as I have only ever had one - and my LCP Silver Nutmeg is virtually white all over with speckly bits here and there so yours has much more colour. Does he have a white belly as could be Polar Fox as well - they seem 'softer' in colour. Do you know the parents or any siblings - unless someone has more experience with these...
Based on my guess that Ratata is a Lilac asshe is SO bold, I would assume that Sheqie was a Sapphire as she is paler. However, I would say Ieniemienie would have to be a Sapphire too as one of her parents is a CP. Lilac don't have colourpoint and Dove is usually very pale.
Any help?

Color point nutmeg ( definitely not a LCPN, LCPSN, or CPSN the toe nails are too dark for any of those other colors), two sapphires, and a lilac. a dove would be extremely pale taken with flash photography.

The breeder also didnt know if it was a lcp or cp nutmeg, I cant recall its siblings genotype/phenotype. I do know the littee of Shequi and Wodka consisted of 3 light nutmegs, 3 pink eyed whites and 1 sapphire(ieniemienie). Wodka being a cp nutmeg and Shequi being a sapphire would be right (dove and LCP nutmeg also could have been right geneticly) Color point nutmeg ( definitely not a LCPN, LCPSN, or CPSN the toe nails are too dark for any of those other colors), two sapphires, and a lilac. a dove would be extremely pale taken with flash photography. Thanks!=) Can Lilacs have black eyes? I thought the recessive p gene caused the gerbil to become lilac instead of black.

No, Lilacs don't have black eyes, but sometimes their eyes appear a darker ruby colour rather than a pink.
Also you can't get Dove and LCP anything if you don't have the c(ch) gene, so from a normal CP Nutmeg (which only has c(chm)) and a Sapphire (which only has c(chm) too), you can't get Dove or LCPNut. If you thought c(ch) was in there, you would have to have more litters - maybe with a different partner to bring out Siamese as it is such an obvious Light colour - to see if you actually have the 'Light' gene in there - one litter doesn't usually show all available genes.
Shequi and Wodka have colourpoint genes which helps you to get all those 'unknown' PEWs (basically you won't know what genes they have unless you breed them specifically to find out).
So Wodka (CPN) aa c(chm)c(chm) ee Pp U* And Shequi (S) aa Cc(chm) Ee pp U*
Ieniemienie(S) aa Cc(chm) Ee pp U*
Ratata (Lilac) aa CC E* pp U*
Are you breeding again?

That's what I figured after you told me about shequi being a sapphire instead of a dove. Yes I'm an active (beginning) breeder, building up a solid tree. Wodka is coupled with a very pretty spotted Siamese named Whiskey, yesterday they've received their first litter together of 6 healthy pups!^^ I dont know the recessives genes of Whiskey, her sister and mother were black=p. I'm expecting burmese and siamese pups if wodka is a cp nutmeg and whiskey doesnt have the p and e recessives. thanks again for all of your insights!^^
