HI everyone, I am new to the forum and glad to be here, I have gotten a lot out of this site already. Can anyone offer opinions on the colors of my sweeties? I have a pair of boys and a pair of girls. I am almost positive my girlies are both slate? They look black normally, however when they are walking on my grey bathrobe they look more grey. Any opinions would be great. Thanks in advance! Bright eyes (for now) Maximus Ayla Troi We have only had our boys for a few days and I believe my SO has settled on Maximus for the grey-ish boy, we havent found a name that felt right for the other young man, I have been calling him bright eyes untill we decide on something because his face is so expressive and sweet.

I followed directions I googled to insert photos into my post, but I am only seeing the alt text. Can anyone tell me if they can actually see the photos? Or how to fix the problem?
Nevermind! I figured it out!

Thank you! The girls are very hand-tame already because we put a lot of time into playing with them, the boys are getting used to us still, we only handle them for a few minutes at a time and are reinforcing good behavior with treats.

Bright Eyes- spotted nutmeg or saffron (probably nutmeg) Maximus- not quite sure. . . maybe spotted silver nutmeg, slate, or gray agouti? Ayla- black Troi- black I'm not 100% positive on some those, so if a more experienced member like Shooting Star says otherwise, I'd go by their opinion. Lovely gerbils!

Thanks Crittercrazy I have a closer picture of Maximus if it helps, but the room was pretty dim so the first shot I showed might be a better determination of his color. I just love his sweet little face, he keeps look-out up in his flying saucer for about an hour each night - I'm pretty sure he is watching netflix with us.

Thank you, shooting star! And if anyone was curious, I settled on the name Milo for my bright eyed boy.
