My gerbils never seemed to run much on the wheels I had, so I kept trying different ones. Now, finally I found one that they both love. It's strange because it was the least expensive, so it seems to good to be true. I would like to know if any of you have heard of this wheel and if there is some problem that I might not know about. It's called "Wild Harvest Pet Wheel." It's a metal wheel with a mesh-like track. There appears to be no place where a tail could get caught.
I just got one, because I figured they wouldn't like it, but I soon saw them squabbling over who got on it. The squabbles were quick with Brad, the dominant one, taking over the wheel completely. So, I immediately got another wheel. And all is happy.
Other ones I tried included the Wodent Wheel, which they preferred to chew on and silent spinner, which they preferred to use as a bathroom.
So, please let me know what you think of Wild Harvest.
Thank you.

The wheel seems fine, in my opinion, as it's mesh, so shouldn't hurt their feet or anything.

The mesh isn't really fine though so that was what was worrying me.

Lots of people like this wheel. The mesh size is just fine. Not too tight and not too open. The only complaint that people have had is that it squeaks.
Glad your gerbils like their wheel. Mine loved their wheel (very similar to the harvest one) now that they are older they prefer digging and chewing and only use the wheel at night (I switch to a silent spinner).
