so woke up to my two girls having blood on there coat....freaked me out cause it was on both there back and was afraid they had a bit of a brawl. after a quick body survey I realise that fluffy yet again broke of of her paws claw and must have been grooming herself and her sister while still bleeding or while cuddling. now she seems fine and did not loose that much blood...so my question do I need to do anything???observe for infection signs and that it??

Yeah. Watch for how she uses that paw, whether it bleeds regularly, whether she over grooms it, whether it swells up our gets warm.
Gerbils heal quite well and don't like to show pain, so if you can see she is uncomfortable, then it must really hurt and she needs pain relief.
But usually, if it isn't knocked all the time, it should just heal up nicely.

If your worried you could always bathe it in a little bit of salt water to keep it clean and keep infection out but small animals are surprisingly resilient ...my syrian hamster a few years ago was in a ZZ2 cage but refused to stop chewing the bars and somehow managed to spend half her evening danging from the centre of the cage lid like it was the monkey bars! Needles to say her poor feet suffered for it and she ended up wait practically no nails! they just looked like stumps but it never stopped her! Amy
