I just removed the split in the cage for Monty my 2 yr old gerbil and Newt and Parsnip the two new 6 wk old pups. They had been sleeping in each others nests and smelling noses through the divider. They all are a bit on the over active side so I just wanted some input on how the intro is going. Lots of running around the tank, but no chasing. Some rear end smelling, but it's not long lasting. Some smelling/kissing which has once or twice ended with a gerbil on its back momentarily. Monty seems to be digging in the corners quite a bit. And I think I just saw Parsnip groom Monty's break a little. I do have a couple toilet paper rolls in with them because Monty is a constant chewer.

It sounds like it's going really well! Just keep a close eye on them to make sure they don't fight.

It all went really. Monty built his usual impressive nest, and they all the slept together This morning I scattered some food in the for them, and they all seem to be getting along great. The babies are either in the nest or sitting next to Monty while he chews on a TP roll
