Hi guys, has anyone else noticed that the new packaging for Gerri Gerbil food has a new ingredient list?
The original Supreme mix was "Wheat, maize and flaked maize, soya, oats, flaked peas, alfalfa, carrot, pumpkin seeds, raisins, locust bean, soya oil, vitamins and minerals, sodium chloride, stabiliser: sodium sulphate. EC permitted colours."
But the new one is marketed under Tiny friends farm Gerri Gerbil mix and is "Wheat, soya bean meal, flaked maize, torrified wheat, whole oats, whole maize, flaked soya beans, flaked peas, alfalfa meal, pumpkin seeds, dried carrot flakes, wheat feed, linseeds, soya oil, soya bean hulls, extruded locust beans, calcium carbonate."
Im useless when it comes to diets and whats good/bad etc so can anyone figure out if the new recipy is still as good as the old one?
Thanks
Amy

The brand is still under Supreme (I asked on their FB page, just that it seems they added a new sub-name to the mixes). They changed every formulas... For hamsters it got undernourished, not sure if it's still good for Gerbils though. The new Gerbils' formula seems better in my opinion in term of whole foods, and the removal of raisins sounds good to me, though I wish the carrots would get removed too.
