Does anyone here use antlers as chews? Do your gerbils like them?

I think they would be ok if they weren't chewed like cardboard!
They are just bone - so are more like a mineral stone than a chew toy. But I assume you are talking pet-shop brought rather than gathered in the woods (as they might need some serious cleaning).

I mean pet shop bought ones, yes. They're not actually bone and break up differently - they don't splinter like bone does.

They are better than bone due to what you said above - I was just saying that they are actually bone - they have the exact same 'ingredients' as our bones, but they present in a different way - making them much longer lasting chew-wise.
And most 'bones' in pet stores are baked which makes them brittle anyway.

Antlers are true bone, but they're very porous, so they don't really splinter. I give my dog antlers, and when she's chewed them down too small (to where she could potentially swallow them), I give the remains to the gerbils. I've done the same with marrow bones, but antlers are better all around (except for price!).

They are indeed pricey! The annoying thing is I had one for my dog but she didn't like it, so I gave it to my cousin's dog when she came round and fell in love with it.

Nope, there are plenty in the US. Most pet stores carry them nowadays, shelved with the dog chews/toys/treats.

I have given mine an antler after my dog chewed it and was no longer interested. they sometimes chew it from the little bites I see on it. I would suggest going with a small, as cheap as you can get one (or one left over from a dog) so that you can see if they show any interest in it
