I have 4 plastic water bottles, 3 of which always seem to leak. They were cheap water bottles, but is there any way to prevent leaks? I might just end up buying better ones, but I dont want to waste my money if there is a simple fix. They always leak and soak the bedding, which is really becoming a hassle and I am sure its not a good experience for the gerbils to have cold and wet bedding

Are you checking to make sure the rubber gasket is properly seated every time you refill? That can definitely cause leaks.

My looking at it, there doesn't seem to be a problem with them, but is there a way to really check if thats the problem?

Not really. Just make sure they're in position-- if it still leaks, then they're not the problem.

I did end up getting two glass water bottles today, which also seemed to be a little leaky, but by rolling my finger across the ball a few times it seems to have at least slowed it down
