One of my gerbils escaped the cage last night i found her this morning so i put her back in her cage with the other gerbil theyve lived together for 6 months now but it seems like theyve forgot each other and now there doing alot of chasing and thumpimg and squeaking im worried theres no blood or actual scrapping... what shall i do, will i have to reintoduce them?

Are they both female? If so it could be that one is in heat and is chasing the other to try and 'hump' her (which can also cause the one being 'humped' to squeak. Keep a close eye on them in any case, as it could also be that the escapee doesn't smell the same due to being out and about and picking up new scents from your home, if this is the case then hopefully they will reconcile without any bloodshed.

How are they now typhanym22? Did you leave them together or take them apart?
