Hiya, I ran out of gerbil food yesterday and walked to my nearest shop for them to only sell Harry the hamster food. It's heavily snowing and the pet shop I go to is like a 5/10 minute drive but my mum didn't want to risk the driving. The shops shut tomorrow so won't be able to get it until Monday? The foods the exact same make as Gerri gerbil only its Harry hamster?

Yes, we all know Harry Hamster well, and it won't be too bad for the gerbils short term. Ideally you would start to mix it in with whatever you have left of your Gerri (but I know on this occasion you can't), and some people might even suggest steering clear of too many fresh foods at the changeover time to help to tummy adjust to the new food.
Gerbils are quite robust though and seem to adapt to new foods quite easily - well they have to with all the treats we give our little ones - and so unless you notice really loose stools within a few days of the new food (which you shouldn't but each gerbil is an individual just like us) I would think it was fine.
If you can get your normal food after the bad weather then you could always mix them 50/50 if you are worried.
I have fed mine Harry Hamster on occasions (alongside all their additional seeds and nuts) and I haven't noticed any issues myself.
