VERY good point Pep! I totally agree. Teeth are something that are VERY important, and very special, and in the first place, if your gerbils teeth are growing too long, then either he's got a health problem, or you're not giving him enough to chew on. It's instinct to chew because it's instinct to keep their teeth trimmed.
I finally did clip Jeff's teeth, and I was scared to death. They do wiggle and it's hard to keep a good grasp on them. I did manage it though, and he's eating a little better. But FIRST think of WHY it's happening, and WHY they need to be done.

My female Smokey is in her mid stages of pregnancy and lieks to sleep alot so sometimes her teeth get a litl long. She is my only gerbil with this problem she has bee better lately. My auntie's a vet so she normally trims them but shes moveing to switzerland soon so i changed vets so now I want to learn how do it so that everytime Smokey can me bothered to chew I can trim them myself. Ilove her really lol
