Spotted, All Colours Class:
Even though there was still not much of a turn out, I was impressed by the overall quality.
(AndreaS15) Andrea's "Shelby Cobera," a 10-month old Spotted Topaz female, has a good strong body type with nice colour. Her fur looks healthy and shiny. The tail is quite straight and thick, but the tuft could be fuller. Amazing whiskers!
Third Place: Caroline's "Bonnie," a sweet 13 week-old Spotted Argente is quite unusual in that she has very dark ticking for an Argente. Sometimes this can be because of a recessive g present. Her forehead spot is also a bit different, being Y shaped rather than the usual diamond. So I have to say I found her interesting as well as cute! She has a very nicely compact body with good ears. Eyes are a bit round and her tuft could be fuller. A very nice little girl.
Second Place: (AndreaS15) Andrea's "Maserati," a one year-old Spotted Burmese female, is a gerbil with style! She has a feminine build complemented by a gorgeous full tail. Her spots are properly placed on a nice dark mushroom coat, and her points are black which make a great contrasting colour. I especially like that there are very few white hairs in the black fur of her tail. Her eyes are good but ears slightly too rounded at the top. What a stunner!
First Place: (ashgerbil) Isabel's "Leo," an 18 month-old Spotted Golden Agouti male has a nice full, masculine build and a full, shiny coat. His colour is nice and rich with good definition between the cream underside and golden top coat. His eyes and ears are very good, with a lot of expression (he likes his treat)! Finally, a full set of whiskers, straight, thick tail and full tuft place this little guy as top gerbil in his class. Well done!
