I am now accepting entrants to the class for pups ages 4 to 12 weeks old, any colour, in the 2007 Gerbil Forum Virtual Show, which will be judged August 31. Please email me (rogerve@yahoo.com) your unblurry photos (a side view which should include the full tail, and a front view which should include full whiskers and ears). Make sure to send me the name, sex and age (in weeks) of your gerbil, your name, and your user name. It is suggested that you make sure your gerbil is sand bathed and well groomed for the pics so as not to lose unnecessary points, and a nice background in a complementing colour also does wonders! Please don't forget to consult the judging criteria at the Forum Virtual Show Guidelines thread found here, which links to AGS standards: gerbilforum.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=virtualshow&action=display&thread=1136922560Good Luck!

I've received 4 entrants so far, from shootingstar and Anne. If you think you have sent yours in and your name doesn't appear here, please send it again to rogerve@yahoo.com as soon as possible. There's a little over one week until judging commences.

Gerbil Forum Virtual Show Pup Class 2007 Results: Well, I can't complain about this class's tails, all of them were great! It was very hard to choose winners, as these gerbils are all lovely. RitziAnn's Darla is a 3 month-old Colourpoint Golden Agouti female. She is quite dark and doesn't have any visible gold colour in her tail yet, but it may come with time. She has excellent whiskers and very even ticking in her well-conditioned fur. Shooting Star's Candide is a 9-week old male Dark Tailed White. He seems a bit slim, but I'm sure he will bulk up with age and good feeding. He is very clean and has well-shaped eyes, long whiskers and an awesome tuft on his tail. I'd love to see him when his tail colours up! Anne's Lily is a Pied Siamese 8 week-old female, though this photograph looks like it was taken when she was four or five weeks old. She has a wonderful stripe, fairly good tuft, nice eyes and ears and excellent potential. I'd love to see her when her points gain their full colour! RitzieAnn's Ritzie Junior is a 3 month-old female Spotted Black. She is very light, it seems to me, which makes me wonder if she is carrying some interesting recessives. I love the white tip on her tail, and her great tuft! She has a beautiful set of eyes, ears and whiskers. Don't you just love her white feet? Third Place: Anne's Zoe is an 8 week-old female Siamese. I love her shade, her fur is in great condition and has an almost lilac tint. Her tail is very dark for such a young gerbil and is shaping up to have a nice tuft. She looks only about 5 weeks old in this picture, by the way. Her body shape is good and I like her eyes, ears and whiskers. I would love to see her when her points colour in, I bet her nose will be very dark like her tail, and she will have wonderfully contrasting colours. Please post a picture of her as she gets older! Second Place: RitziAnn's Sparky the Third is 3 month-old lightly mottled Black male. He has a beautiful nose stripe, which is quite wide. He has nice eyes, ears and whiskers, and his fur is in good condition. His tail has a beautiful tuft! First Place: Shooting Star's Felix is a 9 week-old Mottled Black male. He has a nice amount of mottling on his rump. His head is well set into his body, which has a good shape. His ears, whiskers and eyes are nicely shaped and his tail and tuft are outstanding. What a beautiful little boy!

Hi candemat, this show is now over, however, I believe the AGS Virtual Show is still open. You can find the post about it on the Events and Shows thread.
