Sorry for the delay everyone, I've been so sick you wouldn't believe. Tonsilitis. Am on antibiotics and still in bed most of the time. But got the thankfully small class judged somehow. Also our main computer is on the fritz! What else, eh!
A very nice international spread this time! This was a solid class, all the gerbils very fine and it was quite difficult to pick a winner because so many were so close to each other in quality. Well, here goes!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Anna W) Stonehill's "Shadow" is a seven month-old male Black gerbil. He is beautifully photographed! He has a cute expression and his tail is thick and straight. His coat is even though a bit light for a black, making me think he carries some recessives. He has a nice wide nose but has quite a bit of white in front feet, nose and whiskers. He also needs some bulking up! More sunny seeds, mom!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alejandra's "CMBianca" is a fourteen month-old female Ruby or Red Eyed White with a very soft coat that is unstained. She has a good build with very nice eyes and whiskers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Andrea's "Capri" is a two year-old Nutmeg female in excellent condition for her age! She's missing part of her tail but it diminishes her obvious charm not one bit! She has a very even coat in excellent condition. Her tail is thick indicating good bulk for a girl of her advancing age. Although she has a lot of white in her paws and I'd like to see a richer colour, she has lovely eyes, ears and whiskers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miriam B's "Viagra" is an eleven month-old female Lilac gerbil with a very impressive deep, bluish coat colour. Unfortunately the coat colour does not appear to be evenly distributed. Nice thick tail of a perfect length, good eyes, ears and whiskers!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Ritziann) Kristi M's "Nanimo" is a twenty-one month-old female Nutmeg lightened with a Schimmel gene, which has done the work of lightening her now to almost a Schimmel colour! She has very distinctive points, and has some anomalous shading on her nose. She has very nice bulk, a very soft coat and excellent tail, although there is one slight dent in it. Lovely girl.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Judit's "Hektor of Zarposz" is an eleven month-old male Silver Nutmeg with a very light coat colour and interesting dark ticking. He looks so soft! I like his eyes, ears and whiskers but he needs bulking up a bit. Treats for Hektor!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Shootingstar) Danielle's "Kokomo" is a seven month-old male Slate with very dark colour for a Slate. His coat is soft, colour is very even and I don't see any white anywhere! Great tail, nice ears, whiskers and eyes but he does need to be a bit bulkier to place better in future. Would like to see him next year!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alejandra's "CM Silver" is an eighteen month-old male Silver Nutmeg. He shows good bulk as a mature male should, and what lovely soft fur. His tail has a slight spiral, though it is full and thick. He has good eyes, ears and whiskers. A very nice boy, in his prime!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chivalry's "Fudge" is a nine month-old male Nutmeg. He has excellent bulk, very soft looking fur which is a rich colour and good dark ticking. He has excellent eyes, ears and whiskers. Hope to see him next year!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tony's "Wayne" is a six month-old male Lilac with a very good build for his age! His fur is positively glossy and extremely even toned all over with a delicate colour. His tail could have been better photographed so it appears straight but I can see there are no kinks in it, although it could be a tad thicker and longer. He has nice ears, eyes and whiskers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulations everyone, and I hope I managed to get all the entries in time!
