I have a nursing gerbil mom, and I recently read here on this message board that it's good to give them a little dry cat food for animal protein and fat when they're nursing, so I gave her a couple of pieces and she ate them both really quickly! Any ideas on how many you can safely feed per day or week?

There are no numbers fo it, but when nursing just a very few per day! It depends on how she like it. Don't give new, when she still has some. When she is not nursing less!

I used to give about 4-5 kibbles a day. That seemed fine.

Thanks everyone - heh heh. She LOVES her dry cat food. The second I give her a couple of pieces she runs off and proceeds to eat an entire piece in one sitting.
