That's a great Idea.. Thank you! I've been looking for something more exciting for my gerbil. I'm definitely doing this next time I clean the tank!

That's not what I have... Which picture are you talking about? The first few pictures have aspen and the last few have Eco-Bedding.

The first ones. Maybe it's just the brands. Mine is the Petco brand. Mine looks more like wood chips, in the pictures, your looks more like shavings. PS: You posted your response to SilverGerbil inside the quote.

PS: You posted your response to SilverGerbil inside the quote. Yeah, different brands look different. I used to use Kaytee brand it looked more like shavings. This stuff looks more like it's shredded or something. And, oops! my bad!

Okay, so being part time employment leaves me with loads of free time -sigh- i get bored with myself! So i decided to take Boz's idea and do something with it (mine are due a change) so i swapped the tanks around (kink and sparrow in the perfecto, and Cyd in the 2ft tank, naimly because im very tempted to split cage her). So here goes...Some pictures: (I did wash the tanks btw i just put bedding back in their then decided to do this...) (I stuffed loads of hay in the big tube (its like.. 7" diamiter!!) and cyds helping (she was being a pain ) I put in a TONNE of bedding so i had to re-construct the bottle so it wasnt getting blocked...i LOVE zip ties (told you my DIY sucks !) My attempt at Boz's FANTASTIC Idea

The problem with that setup is that you can't interact with the gerbils. I try to minimize the paper rolls as they tend to hide in there a lot. I just give them enough hiding for them to retreat when they are sleepy or afraid and then everything else is an open space so I can put my hands in their tank and play with them everyday.

Prolinker - It may not be best for an unsocial or newer gerbil. I think it is fine if your gerbils like coming to you already because you don't have to worry about them hiding.

Prolinker - I never have problems then again Cyd never says no to her squash seeds! Plus she is always up for coming out! Even at like 2am when i can't sleep x
