I have tried that, she seems to be abit better, the liquid is whitish. No vets are open but i could try the emergency vet and see if they can help me by phone. thank you,i will do all i can,she is my baby and i will be very sad if she doesn't pull through.

Zippy is ok,now, either I or she was able to get out what was causing her distress. She has been eating, running around and things are back to normal. Thanks for the advice but was able to do it on my own and am proud I saved my baby. Tammy

Great to hear she is OK! I would still advise taking her to a vet or at least talking to one on the phone just to know what it was and if it can come back.

I've had gerbils 18 years and the vet i've dealt with isn't the friendliest or know alot about gerbils(or really cares in my opinion) but is all i have here. If it does happen again,i will take her, that's for sure.
I watch her closely anyway but will pay attention for the next few days when she eats.
