what colour is the mum, she looks like a honey, but she could be argente as the piccy's a bit fuzzy. what colour is dad ? do you have any ideas what colours the litter will contain, or was this just an accidental breeding ? good luck with raising the pups, we'll be in the same boat very soon now

To me she looks like a Golden Agouti! A honey is much more yellow. And this female is very brownish and dark on her back.

Father is black. Nope not an acciental breeding.First litter was all agoutis, so I'm guessing this one will be too. Hopefully I'll get some different colours though, atleast 1 black! I have like 5 more days before I'll find out ..it's driving me nuts lol I checked again today. Still 7. They're all about the same size too so guess I don't have any problem runts ;D ;D

The father is black and the mother a golden agouti?
If the mother than has AA in het colour genetics, you will never have black pups, because they have than all Aa, the A is dominant over a, so they will be still golden agouties! Only when the mother has Aa it is possible that you will have a black pup, but when after two litters you have only had golden agouties, it is not very likely that the mother has Aa!

Yeah I know my chances on having any different colors aren't good..but before I started everyone said I had a 50/50 chance. lol It's ok though. Her last litter anyways. 3 day old pups! Some have really dark tails and others light.. I doubt that means anything this early though.
