Simon was living alone in the 29 gallon but I just moved him to the 10 gallon with a topper. He's coming up on 3 and a half years old and just doesn't need all that space to himself anymore. I've also stopped giving him a wheel because he's not too active anymore. The bedding is Native Earth shredded aspen mixed with some timothy hay. He has cardboard boxes, cardboard and wood tubes, and multiple wooden bridges, as well as plenty of chews, etc as usual. He also spends a lot of time outside of his cage hanging out with me whenever I'm home

The red background paper is being removed/replaced. I had it to go with red LED lighting when it was a gerbil tank.

Yuki passed a few months back, so I decided on getting more gerbils. I ended up with a trio; Ichi, Ni and San. They live in the 75 gallon tank, i ended up taking the levels out since these three are diggers, not climbers. Since they dig so much I added a ten gallon topper to put their wheel and water bottle on. So they now have 80 gallons of space. That's a big difference to the ten gallon they were living in before I got them.

Our 'Comic Book Boys' (Sparky, Beano & Comet) tank - 30 US Gallons. The wood is weeping willow which was scrubbed in salt water & baked for 40 min before putting it in. Yogi's rainbow tank (20 gal). Decided to use up various odds & ends of bedding. Within half an hour of her going in it looked more like confetti than a rainbow Gizzy & pups' tank. Keeping it simple while she's nursing so no deep bedding, toys or topper for now.

This is my 2 boys' - Aspargo and Ito - homemade tank: 80x40x40cm (around 35 gallons). I use 16 pounds of granulated clay toilet to absorve the urine and 2 pounds of hay to dig, around 20cm (8 inches). At the cleaning day it's easier to see the setup House made of a brazilian "cuia" and "cambuí" wood to chew Cononut house Ceramic for the comercial food A small mug for fresh and dried food Seeds, dandelion, camomilla flowers and alfafa in a cuia Adding a little bit of hay The boys More hay for the tunnels

Girl's house - Rohe, Limão and Buffy. 100x40x40cm (around 42 - 45 gallons) Same kind of bedding material of the boys. I bought the glass and build everithing at home, it coust me around 30 dollars (at the petstore would be more than $100). Empty It was a real mess at that day - coconut house, wood ladder, ceramic feeder, some hidden wood toys... Their favorite place to search for seeds - full of hay

Hello everyone! New to Gerbil forums! Just thought I'd show off my cute female ♀ Gerbils!
I decided to do Minecraft theme. I haven't seen anyone do it. I love MC; just thought Gerbils and Minecraft clicked because all Gerbils do is burrow and dig. I have two female Gerbils -- same litter, one is black her name is Onyx and the other is white albino red eyed named Pikachu I didn't like Ghast as her name sounded like Gas >>; I'm in the process of changing there theme after this one I wanted to be a Pokemon theme so I'll have to buy everything before I can post there new set-up. I'm doing a Pikachu/Pokemon/Pokeball/Purple theme. I'll be uploading a video on youtube with this setup.
I work at Petsmart so I usually get all of the Gerbil stuff there or another Petstore, and eBay/Amazon (I'll be hitting the Dollar Tree Store soon!):
It's a 20 Gallon Fish tank with a reptile screen and a 4 Story Hamster cage as a topper.
Pikachu:
It's super hard getting a picture of Onyx:

We used large tanks with P@H tank toppers for many years before deciding on changing our gerbil housing. Now we use only Zoozones which have been meshed and gnaw-proofed in all the places where our gerbils can get a purchase on the sides and start chewing their way out. We have stainless steel bowls bolted to the sides to block the places where the plastic isn't perfectly smooth. Our gerbils are much happier in these tanks - they have more running space, more toys, and are much tamer as they climb up our arms when we put our hands into the cages. And no risk of them hurting their feet or legs on the wire floors or ladders as with the cage toppers (we had one gerbil who broke their leg on the ladder). We currently have a Zoozone 2 with 4 girls (all sisters about 1 year old and no declan issues) and 4 Zoozone 1s (3 boys; 2 girls; 2 girls; and a single boy who will be introduced to a new mate soon). Zoozone 2 with the 4 girls

My boys upgraded to a Detolf PLEASE DON'T DELETE, THEY DO NOT CHEW THEIR CAROLINA STORM WHEEL AT ALL THEY JUST RUN IT, IF THEY EVER START TO KNAW ON IT I WILL REMOVE THE WHEEL ASAP, and I have lids for this detolf, too. I remove them for purpose of a better photo.
