Can I just point out those cages aren't sutible for ANY animal they are marketed for. A syrian hamster needs a 20 gallon tank, and mice need horizontal space than that can give. a trio of female mice (females do best in groups) need at least something the size of a 10 gallon tank, and a male mouse needs at least that or more, if they really want to be happy.
I think Dwarf hamsters need at least a 10 gallon for a pair...and they are burrowers just like gerbils (maybe not to the extreme as gerbils go) so they need dig space too.
Also Budgie cages are NOT okay for finches. Finches need a crap ton of room just like any other bird to fly around. A proper size bird cage is one that the bird can actually FLY in not something where they can just hop around in and stretch their wings. those cages marked for finches and budgies (yes I see them for both) are really only good as hospital cages.

The finch forum disagrees and says a pair works fine in many parakeet cages. Some of those cockatiel cages are just sad though. I wouldn't even put parakeets or finches in them. They are just a horizontal column or box that a cockatie would only be able to scoot side to side in. I see the little boxes in petco all the time. The only thing I'd buy personally at a chain store would be the 18x30x18h" breeder cages for finches, parakeets, and small parrots like parrotlets and maybe 2 to connect double high for a cockatiel. Although I think I'd prefer more than 18" of width for a cockatiel. I did do that for my trio of budgies and my sugar glider. Bought a multipack of those 18x30x18 cages for cheap and removed the top from one, bottom from another, and zip tied them together to make 18x30x36"h. Works just as great as buying the cage of those actual dimensions but without the shipping and other cost increases.

----I am not in the mood to discuss this because I will tun into me getting annoyed because the cages I see marketed for Budies (aka what most call parakeets) are 18X18 cages that aren't big enough.
Finches are not birds that, from my understand, be tamed ever to actually get out of cage time thus they will live their entire lives in a cage. So their cage should let them be able to fly and have enough simulation to make them happy.
but I guess this is the view I get from talking to a breeder of Finches that took the time to build Aviaries for her flock. she has an 8X6 foot aviary for her boys, and then the girls have like a 10x8 room that is their's and she is building a nice little aviary for breeding pairs. She loves it because she has them all inside and a chair set in there so she can walk in and sit down and the birds seem more friendly when they have so much room to get away from her, and yet can come and investigate her if they wished. She has live and fake plants around the aviaries, and uses an actual bird feeder for one of her feeding stations.
but yeah that is all i have to say. also for birds heights of the cages don't really matter as much as actually length and width.

I have the P@H Gerbilarium - not ideal, but we are currently in he process of swapping to a storage bin with topper. My gerbilariums tank is made of thick plastic, with no trouble at all. It's very misleading to say 'DO NOT get a plastic tank'. I am replacing my plastic tank with a storage bin tank (also plastic). Plastic is good - lightweight, easy to clean / store. The type of plastic tanks which are just ridiculous and should not be sold are the modular type ones - Rotastak for example. Yes, they say suitable for gerbils, however, anyone purchasing a pet should research first anyway, and the first thing that comes up when you search for gerbils is that they chew, chew, chew!! I agree that things are put on packaging to attract buyers. Research will show that these 'things' are not suitable for any animal really!!
