These are my photo descriptions of how to sex gerbils... Sorry if a few are a little bit blurry...  10 day old female  3 Week old Littermates  Adult Gerbils Hopefully someone can find these useful!!  |

Yes, they are indeed big gerbils. Those two adults shown there are my breeding pair, they produce super tame, large, and healthy pups! Just glad to be of help...

That's brilliant - the pictures I mean, the way the other lady at the pet shop taught me was that the distance between both bottoms is further in boys than in girls, and she's right  A lady who brings in gerbils has 6 pups at home that I'm going to sex tonight before they come into the shop later this week, these pictures have been really helpful thank you |

Uh critisize me for being stupid here but can you tell by distance between the genitalia and the anus? I just checked my girls. They both look the same but I need to know they exact difference (They are ~9 weeks old) |

Yeah just learn as you go along. lIk wot theylike wots safe but It looks like you really like your gerbs chris wehn i read youre were getting gerbils orsomething along those lines. I know Im a 'kid' and I can sex gerbils easily it comes with practice. But Im very mature so you knowI'm called broing at sholl cos when the other kids my age are out drinking I'd rather be curled up with my gerbie encylopedia or playing with them. Although my friends are all boring apart from one wwho is totally loopy. Sorry Im kinda gettin of topic here. Sexing gerbils depends o n th gebil but its the jar rthat swing it for my. The boys that I have. (I only have 2) suck it up when they know I am trying to sex them or show my friends who are about to become herbil owners how to do it. So sometimes ts hrd to tell.
But Id go for the distance beteen the genetalia and the anus which in emales are about a couple of millimetres but I havent actualy taken a messurent as my biggest female Spice is squirmy at the best of times.the males if normally a centimetre to 2 centimetres depends on the sizeof the male. My Big Ben reached 2.2 centimetres but he kinda looked like a rat apart form he adorable face and the furry tail. So tahts y peice on how to sex gerbils but when you hve a male and female in front of you its aparent which is which

Its okay I also look at the two 'bulges' as girls obviously dont have them. Its fine You are new to gerbils and coop and Summer are the most adorable gerbies Ive ever seen
