I really want to enter my gerbils in a show. I dont want to make my Dad drive too far as he wouldnt really enjoy it. Also can anyone give me some tips on: What will i need to display them in? What information will I need? What type of stuff are they judged on? What equipment would I need to bring? How long will they be in seperate display enclosures, if at all? I really want to prove to my friends and Family how good gerbils can be with hard work and bonding. Just a picture of Cookie Attachments:

I have not got a clue of showing gerbils, but i guess it is a very strict proceedure. i believe they will need pedigree proof, and almost perfect appereance for showing them. And i guessthat means, not just straight tail, but even the way their fur is coloured will count. I guess people who have bred gerbils for years will tell you that getting a gerbil 'up to standards' is taking years to produce in their own line of breed, i think. And then there could be fees you have to pay for the stand, registreation, bla bla bla so i think it is much more complicated then just 'showing them' But don't take my word for it, as i am only guessing.

I know about the fees and If I remember right it is £1 per gerbil to register. I dont think they have 'Pedigree' Gerbils do they? I also had a browse on a site and it said about nutmegs to have: Straight tail, steady black tickling, jet black eyes, darker nose, lighter around the eyes and lighter belly. My gerbs meet all those criteria I would like to have a go as I can imagine just doing it being rewarding to have people see them
