Don't see why not. But make sure you can get to them.... I know somebimes when mine play in containers and stuff, they don't wanna come out! same with their tubes under the bedding in their tanks. lol

Hi that playground looks really smart...we let our just roll around in a sand bath in the bath tub
we let them out once a week with a couple of tubes and boxes in to keep them occupied...
the fist picture of your gerbil is an exact replica of 2 of mine...is it a red eye sapphire?

Is it possible to make small ones for the gerbil's cage? I've seen a picture of that somewhere, but I wanted to know if it is safe. I was thinking of glueing wood together for the frame, use printing paper and masking tape, and then just not paint it. Is the glue made of flour and water okay for gerbils if they chew on it?

That is totally awesome! My husband fell in love with it instantly! How long does it last before they destroy it? lol I think I may make the sand deeper so they can dig some =) I hope the rodent room will be large enough for everything we're doing!

I can't wait to make this! Man I am dieing to move now just so we can get some gerbils! We have NO room right now at all LOL Only room we got left is the dining room and since thats the play room for the ferrets & rats thats a huge no-no haha.

So how do you deal with the gerbs destroying an internal area? Chewing a hole in a plastic 'room' or cardboard tube, for example... when you can't get in there to stop/relocate them? That's the only thing that's making me hesitant... They look awesome; I bet my 4 yo daughter would love to be in some paper mache' madness, too.

Well, the trick is to make sure there's no edges they can grab a hold to. Or, make sure there's access for you, like on the back side, or something. Just got to be a little creative I think.

The whole plan looks fantastic, but whenever i've created tunnels and hidey-holes, the critters are dertermined to destroy it. Im like trying to help them but their determined to have it their own way.
