three of my gerbils live in a glass tank, and there's this glue or whatever that holds it all together, and i've noticed one or two of them chewing it. is it dangerous for them? if they pull all the glue off will the tank fall apart? how do i discourage them from doing it?
sorry if this is in the wrong place..
thanks

Are you sure they are chewing it ? Gerbils do tend to exhibit 'stereotypical' digging in the corners of their tanks if bored or if they have nothing else to use as a burrow. We just give them loads of floorring ( megazorb ) and they dig in that instead of the corners. Or, you could make an artificial burrow system:- www.gerbilsuk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/practical1.htmBut you said DIY is not your fav thing

Those kind of glue can be toxic or not, you have different ones! Some are safe others not, but usually they use thenon-toxic one for pet tanks or terrariums. The rest is told by DarrenB! ;D
