I'm adding some poctures I took yesterday and today (this morning)
I think the two will be agouti, and the largest one has a distinctively darker pigment. It also has less pink on the bottom, self colored? or do blacks turn black over days? Never had any pups other than agouti, but those dark little feet and darker color tell me that one isn't like the others. ;D What do you guys think about em? all agouti or something else?
Oh, and the runt passed away the first night. I had high doubts it would survive as long as it did. It was such a tiny, itty bitty little thing. We gave it proper burial, and the name Bean, after a fave character in a book Tyler and myself like, and the tiny-almost bean-like size. R.I.P Bean!

I'd guess 2 agoutis and a black. You won't be sure until the stomach fur comes in.

Yeah, you'll have a new litter after this one is weaned. Seperate dad from litter before then if you don't want a third. How tame is mum? It's just you have to be careful with handling newborns if she's not 100% used to it.

Tyro is very tame, a complete sweetie, really. I spoil her with goodies all the time, so she knows my hands very well....And most of our bodies. ;D I'm thinking a black too, the belly keeps getting darker and darker! I'll take more pictures later on and load them up if I see any more changes. :)Reminds me of my two other gerbils, Shadow and Jet. I miss jet, he was the sweetest, biggest gerbil I ever had. Another good father right there too. anywhoo, we let them sniff our hands before we pick them up, they don't bite or act fearful when we have our hands directly over the pups, rather they just stand up and look around, or Link tries (and does) jump out of the cage onto the rim. XD guess being a daddy is stressful! we don't have them out for more than a minute or two. They always accept them back as if nothing happened too. Yeah, I know there will be more pups, there was no stopping them unless I had removed Link before she gave birth. But I look forward to more, and have the space and the food and the time to care for more. But after that, well, with this next litter, Link will not have the privilege of seeing the pups being born. Tough love, my deer gerby-doodles...
