I haven't been here long, So I know I wouldn't have the things to qualify as a moderator anyway. But I was just wondering, How do you become a moderator or an admin on these forums? Just a question, Thank you

We (the mods & I) discuss it. Decide if we need more staffing, who we like, who we don't like, etc.
As far as me being Admin... Peter created the forum, and was unable to continue it. He was either going to pass it on to one of his Mods, or shut it down. It was discussed & voted on in the private mod board. Now its mine.

Activity doesn't play a role? I seldom if ever see any of the other moderators online. o.o
Like, on my websites if a staff member becomes inactive we usually demote them unless they have a reason for being inactive. Then we'll promote and train another person to fill the spot.

During certain times we need less staffing. If you, or anybody, feels we need more staffing, then they need to contact me VIA PM

Some people are on a lot just reading & not always posting, but when they do, its usually good. Some people post a lot & it isn't always good information. It's hard finding staff. Lol. Luckily we have mostly good members so editing & moving of threads isn't very necessary, thus we can have less staff, or less active.

What do you do if someone is giving bad advice to others? They will often be inclined to accept the advice that suits them, therefore the forum can be a vehicle for very damaging opinions. Is there a mod policy on this?

But at the same time the forum is there for people to share advice and discuss on it? But I do agree that very bad advice should be reviewed.
