^Good point, I may do that too. They might not do anything about it, but it's worth a try or nothing will ever be done about it.

I received a response to my email;
Hello Rachel, Thank you for your email. We are sorry what happened with your item. But please note that we sell the wooden house for mice/hamsters without nails so I am not sure why your house has nails in it. I will research and let you know afterwards. Thanks for your patience. Kind Regards Jill Bergande -Sales Department-

I got some woodland bit from my local pets at home, a long with a Woodlands Acorn Burrow Box which I had look up and read review (like I do with all the toys) and as it said "Made from natural wood this is a totally safe burrow box for your small pet." though they must have you pet safe glue or something,, it was not until my boys did some DIY on the box that I was the pins in it so binned, I'm now never sure what to by when it comes to toys unless you can clearly see it does not have pins just wish they would state it on the website or box etc, at least them you can make your mine up know its got pins in.

Reading these have really annoyed me. What are they thinking putting pins in the huts and toys have the no common sense. We go though all this effort trying to find SAFE and fun things for our gerbil friends to play with then things like this happen. Don't let them get away with it keep on emailing and complain at the shop you got it from. I'm glad you gerbils are ok and thanks for bringing this to our attention.

No worries I may not be able to do a lot on the matter, but the least I can do is warn other gerbil owners on a forum like this
