Hey everyone! So I know gerbils love to eat peas so I thought to try them out! But how do I prepare them...defrost them or not?

Hiya, I would suggest putting the peas in a bowl of very hot water until they are completely defrosted and then wait until they have completely cooled down before giving them to your gerbils, I'm thinking you could probably do the same with frozen sweetcorn if you have any unless it isn't suitable for gerbils (I'm not 100% sure) just make sure you don't give them too many fruits and veggies as this can cause diorreah x

When I've given my gerbils peas I've just left them to defrost at room temperature first rather than putting them in boiling water.

I microwave them for ten seconds at a time, ten peas (ish) at a time. They don't need to eat many after all! They're done when they're warm, but if they end up too hot I put a couple of frozen peas in and swirl them around - makes the frozen peas defrost and the hot peas cool!
