I've always been into naming my pets very unique names. My 2 boys names are Allegretto (call him Retto for short) and Beat. Yes, they are music terms, and their names were based off of characters from a video game called Eternal Sonata (a really cool fantasy rpg that was based off the life of Fredrick Chopin). For any of you who know the game, their personalities really do reflect those of Retto and Beat from the game. ^_^

Well let's see. I completely made up the names Amarte, Amek and Aithek by throwing letters together. I used all three names for my three bear pets on a game called Mabinogi. I picked the names because they are three brothers- Amarte is from the older litter so I picked a name that didn't end in a "k" for him. Paku's name I made up. I was originally going to name him "Pabu" which is the Fireferret from Legend of Korra, but I liked the way Paku sounded better. Ivypool got her name because when I got her, I purchased her with another female gerbil which was a lilac. Ivypool is a LCP agouti (so silver ticked white) so I named them Ivypool (Ivy for short) and Dovewing (Dove for short) after the sister characters from Warriors: Omen of the Stars. Sadly Dovewing passed away recently, so Ivy is the "oddball named" gerbil of my clan. I named Primrose because I've always liked that as a name. I call her Rose or Rosie for short. I also like the way Primroses look. I named Day-Lily because it went with Primrose. Both flowers are perennials. I call her Lily for short. (She's Primorse's daughter)

I can think of a few "tough" sort of names to go with Fang's
Blood Dagger Skull Nail Venom
Or, perhaps a 'sweet' name to contrast
Angel Incisor Freddie Fern Francis

We're having some trouble coming up with a name for the PEW we're getting to split with Fang, anyone any ideas? Pepe ? As in Pepe le Pew, that romantic skunk looney toon? As for the "arry" names we will have to see what my 8 year old comes up with. I am just leery of naming any gerbil a definite "arry" boy name because that was a downfall last time, with the girls. I am just happy that Larry is actually a boy (proven fact lol) and not a girl named Larry

Hi there, fun thread! My daughters names our gerbil sisters: "Goldie" - for the DEH "Pokey" - actually short for Polka Dot, for the star on her head (she's a Spotted Agouti). Polka Dot was too hard to say on a regular basis, and Polkie eventually became Pokey! We have a new boy, a Nutmeg, so in trying to find name that matched, we came up with: "Chewy" - short for Chewbacca, matching his color.

My gerbils are Teddy, Dart, Timothy, and Ruby. Teddy and Timmy are just named that because that's what they look like. Dart has his name because he is fast, he darts around. And Ruby is white with red eyes, and his eyes remind me of little rubies.

Mine is Doctor Digby. Doctor portion was added after Doctor Who, because she is a Timelordy Gerbil and Digby was a combination of my nickname my parents gave me when I was younger because when I would laugh I snorted like a pig so they called me Pigby, and the fact that she was always digging. (Digging + Pigby = Digby!)

My girls are called George, Miss Curious and Stumpy Stumpy is called that because she some how managed to de-glove her tail! Miss Curious is called that because... Pretty self explanatory And George is called that because.... When I first got my gerbils... (Moving to my pc to type) Contin: When I first got gerbil, I had two "Males" from pets@home, they were called George and Ging But Ging passed away so I got a new gerbil to keep "him" company.. this time from a breeder... and that was Marvin They made gerbabies... haha.. Then George passed away but SoFluffy had a beautiful black gerbil <3 So now she is known as George (The Second) haha! So yeah xx
