You have a very thorough vet! Where do you go, if I may ask? I'm on Long Island now, but I had such a hard time finding a vet who would treat gerbils when I lived in NYC.

The Mineola Animal Hospital - Dr. David Kolins. He is an exotic animals specialists and he's terrific. 132 Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY The staff are excellent as well.

Thanks so much for the info. In the past, I've gone to Dr. Robert Henrickson at Manhasset Animal Hospital. He is a fantastic vet and very knowledgeable about small animals like gerbils, but a bit on the expensive side - probably due to his location. I'll definitely give Dr Kolins a try next time my girls need vet care - Mineola is only 2/3 the distance from where we are now, compared with Manhasset.
