Need advice

I'm new to this forum and would really appreciate some advice this mourning my gerbil died and left his brother cinnamon who is 3 and very tame and friendly and I have his sister mil key whose we had to separate so she wouldn't have baby's and now there older and can't have children anymore and cinnamon is own his own I'm considering useung a split cage method so that can be together how will I do this because there are many levels in there thank so it would be hard to add a mesh any advice would be helpful thank u

If your tank has levels, you would have to remove them if that's possible, or if its not then get another tank. How big is your current one? A ten gallon is generally good for a split. If you don't have one of those, they're usually pretty cheap used and not too hard to find.
I'm sorry to hear your gerbil died though.
