Hi Megan,
It's hard not to blame myself. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it. Last summer, we took in two stray cats (a brother and a sister). Well, the brother caught an upper respiratory infection. So I brought him into the vet and he was prescribed meds. It wasn't workin so I brought him back to the vet and he was perscribed stronger meds. Still wasn't helping and by this time, he had stopped eating because he wasn't able to smell. The third time I took back to the vet, they decided to test his blood for feline aids and sure enough, that's what he had and how come he wasn't getting any better. So to make an even longer story short, I keep wondering what if I had brought them in my house sooner...then he wouldn't have gotton infected by that cat who gave him the boo boo on his head. I still have his sister. At any rate, it just makes me feel so helpless.
When I took all 9 gerbils out last Sunday to let them roll around in their plastic ball, Sally seemed fine. Monday, she appeared fine. Monday night is when I first started hearing the clicking sounds (but very faintly). And the rest, I've already posted about. One question though....when I found her this morning, her eyes had a white film over them. What is that?
As for Peaches, I've been watching her all day. At first, she was looking around for Sally. But as the day progressed, she went about doing her thing like normal. I am paying extra attention to her as well. Maybe she will do well by herself?? I guess only time will tell, huh?
Okay, I've rambled on long enough. Sorry for writing so much. One last picture of my Sally....
