I have a pink eyed white female that I paired with a spotted grey. I don't know if he is grey agouti or lilac. All of the pups are also grey. Some spotted and therefore lighter and some solid. If my boy is grey agouti rather than lilac shouldn't I have gotten some agouti or white pups?
Original guess: male A- C- ee G- P- Female A- cc E- G- pp
What do you think?
I will try for some pics when I get back to my computer later today
Thank you!

Hello. I don't know how to move this thread to another place - but I do know how to tell if your gerbil is grey agouti or lilac as one will have dark eyes and one will have red eyes. Is he the one in the avatar?
There are loads of other ways to tell them apart - even when they are spotted - but this is the most obvious.
As for the genes, there are too many options really for what you have without knowing exactly what colour your dad and babies are - unless all the pups are the same grey colour as the dad in which case this could be easier to figure out?
Your gene guesses are not quite right as neither a grey agouti nor a lilac have 'ee'. And it is quite likely that there are some double dominant genes in the mix if all the pups are basically that same colour.
Please update us with eye colour, nail colour of the non-spotted pups and whether all the pups are the same a dad or different and we can make some progress here.

There you go. Photobucket won't let you link pics any more, but the boy in your avatar is Sp. Lilac. So... Male: aa CC E- Uw- pp Sp+ Female: -a c[-]c[-] -- -- pp Pups are Dove and/or Sapphire: aa Cc[-] E- Uw- pp
