Two of my youngest gerbils have something that I'm curious about. One is a black gerbil who has what I will describe as a V of white fur around her nose. The other is a nutmeg and also has a lighter (not white) V around her nose.
What would cause this?
It's it something to do with the colourpoint gene?
One of my boys is also black and has a light coloured claw which, as far as I'm aware of, is down to that gene.
Any information would be appreciated.

White marks on the nose are usually scarring from a rough delivery. A light claw on a Black wouldn't be associated with CP. Could be due to Spotting Semi-lethal or Steel, or just random.
