We have a motion activated night light at the bottom of our stairs in case anyone needs the bathroom during the night. Recently, I kept getting woken up by the light going off every few minutes. I tried to ignore it and fall back to sleep but eventually gave up. Grumbling about throwing it away, I went downstairs to pull out the batteries - only to see one of my girls scamper past. She had somehow escaped during the night and she was playing with the night light! She would run up to it so that it activated. Then she would scamper off and wait for it to go dark, then run up to it again. I watched her having fun like this for a few minutes before rounding her up and putting her back in her cage. Needless to say, I'm keeping the night light in case of anymore night-time adventures :-)

glad you saw the light, what are your gerbils' in? better make sure she won't escape again in case you can't find her again and she is safe in her home each night.

Hey there!!
LOLOL! Now THAT is the cutest thing EVER! Its amazing how curious and smart they are, never ceases to surprise me.
Where escaping gerbils, however, is always a concern and I'm glad you were able to round her up and get her safely back home. Indeed, be sure to check to see how she escaped in the first place and hopefully she will be able to stay put this time.
But that would have been a precious video moment, her playing with the night light!
