Not been on this forum for a very long time. Quick update. I've not had gerbils for a long time, last one was Spice who some may remember. My stepdad died the year before last, December 2016. My gf finished with me last year after almost 6 and a half years in July. So it's been tough. For my birthday this month (8th), my mum and brother payed for a dog for me (I picked him though), he is a four year old Jack Russell, called Billy, aged 4, brown black and white. So I've not gone for gerbils this time. I made a lot of new friends over the past few years and have started doing short stand up comedy sets at two clubs I go to. Any of the old regulars still around?

Welcome back - and stand up eh? Very interesting...
Will you be hanging around here long then if you don't have your own gerbils anymore? I hope you'll stay around and give advice to others where you can. The forum members have increased hugely in the past few years - so there are a lot of questions and comments on here that people could do with some help.
How's Billy settling in?

I'll stick around for a while. I like writing and telling jokes so tried it with a friend at first. But he gave it up. I don't get paid but it is on stage, I have a few drinks and tell some jokes I have written on stage if I feel like it, which is quite often but not all the time. Billy has got bad seperation anxiety so I'm having a job helping him with that! He likes to follow me everywhere too. I remember catnut, silvergerbil, Smokey and uhura, might be more but can't remember names at the monent. lol

Hi David, I remember you too. Sorry to hear your dog Billy(I like Jack Russells', soo adorable) has separation anxiety, I wish my cat had that but she prefers to not spend much time with me, oh well, I see her when she wants something and when I brush her, she purrs for me. Too bad about no gerbils, I still have two, I have two rescue girls-Saphira and Sophie, they are 2 years old. Good luck with the stand up! take care, Tammy

hi David I'm new here and new to gerbils, I hope you'll stick around for advice, it seems that it's just mainly Betty answering most of the questions here esp for us newbies My sister had a dog with separation anxiety, that's tough. Good luck with Billy and with your stand up, that sounds like fun

Welcome back! Though new to this forum in August, I was a member of the AGS from 2001 - 2007. Had some life complications and upheavals and had to leave for a bit, but, happy to report I too have come back and re-registered with the AGS in 2017 and then decided to join here! So, I totally understand how curve-balls in life can certainly throw you for a loop for a while.
I hope others that used to be part of the forum with you return as well, but, always happy to make new friends!
